Dhaka December 9, 2016. GNOBB offer their heartiest congratulations to Dr. Abidur Rahman and his associates for their recent publication in The Plant Journal. The details are as follows:
Maho Takahashi, Kana Umetsu, Yutaka Oono, Takumi Higaki, Elison B. Blancaflor, and Abidur Rahman (2016) SMALL ACIDIC PROTEIN 1 (SMAP1) and SCFTIR1ubiquitin proteasome pathway act in concert to induce 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid-mediated alteration of actin in Arabidopsis roots. DOI: 10.1111/tpj.13433
This study reveals that actin plays a central role in eliciting the 2,4-D response in roots. SMAP1 and ubiquitin proteasome pathway act synergistically and function as positive modulators for 2,4-D-induced alteration of actin in roots.
