Biodiesel derived from Jatropha seeds has potential in Bangladesh

Mr. Ashraful Alam, an expatriate Bangladeshi now living in Dallan, China. has provided the following piece of good news that the  Jatropha plants that are growing in the model farm established by the Green Gold platinum Ltd  in Chittagong are producing  seeds. The harvesting process  will be completed by the 1st week of August.  Mr.  Alam informs the GNOBB coordinator that shortly they will embark upon the next phase of extracting biodiesel oil from the seeds under controlled (laboratory) environment. Thereafter, they hope to  start the project on a large scale in the fields of the Tea estates which have not only large areas of  land and   manpower resources at their disposal  but they are  also users of jatropha-seeds derived diesel oil. The entrepreneurs believe that within 2020 the entire transportation system of the country will be run by biodiesel derived from jatropha  seeds.
