GNOBB takes this opportunity to heartily congratulate the lead author Rabeya Begum, Sheikh Shamimul Alam at the Department of Botany, Dhaka University and four of her associates at the Institute of Botany, Technische Universität Dresden, Germany on their online publication of a paper entitled, “Comparative molecular cytogenetic analyses of a major tandemly repeated DNA family and retrotransposon sequences in cultivated jute Corchorus species (Malvaceae)” in the current issue Annals of Botany. The was carried out by the lead author at the Institute of Botany, Technische Universität Dresden, Germany supported by a Georg Forster fellowship of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.
