GNOBB feel sincerely that there should have been special mention about the IAS journal
which made its debut covering all branches of Science at the birth of the organization in 1986. In spite of the commendable work it has been doing, the journal is now reduced to the discipline of medicine ONLY with two issues of hardly 50 pages each. If we look at similar organizations in the world, we find that each of these learned bodies such as USA National Academy of Sciences, Royal Society of London, to name a few publish journals, maintaining highest standard academically and in its publication frequency.
With so many distinguished scientists as its fellows, it’s not a big deal to bring out quarterly journals covering all branches of S/T. The IAS secretariat located in Amman, Jordan is indeed a very able bodied capable of handling the volume of work that would be essential to restore the journal to its formal level.
