An international conference on, “Drug Discovery and Development Research in Developing Countries (DRDC),” began this morning

3rd October, 2015. It is with a good deal of pleasure and jubilation, GNOBB announces that organized by Professor Dr. Ahmed Azad and Professor Dr. Liaquat Ali, VC , Bangladesh University of Health Sciences (BUHS), a 4-day international conference on, “Drug Discovery and Development Research in Developing Countries (DRDC),” began this morning at the Ibrahim Auditorium, BUHS., Mirpur, Dhaka. The Chief Guest, Mr. Nurul Islam Nahid, MP, The Honorable Minister of Education, Government of Bangladesh inaugurated the conference this morning at 9 a.m. at the Ibrahim Auditorium, BUHS. It is truly international in its character as delegates consisting of renowned biotechnologists and scientists from all over the world, namely, Pakistan, India, UK, USA, Australia, Switzerland, Japan are attending the conference. Among the renowned scientists Dr. Ananda M Chakrabarty (University of Illinois, Chicago, USA ) will speak on, “Bacterial proteins and peptides in cancer therapy and prevention.” Dr. Akhter Hossain (Howard Florey Institute, University of Melbourne, Melbourne, Australia) will give a talk on, “ Pharmacological targeting of G protein-coupled receptors for treating human diseases.  GNOBB has noted with a great deal of satisfaction that a number of young scientists  from INCEPTA will present their research findings at this conference.  Mr Muktadir, MD, INCEPTA deserves our heartfelt thanks and admiration for supporting research in this emerging science.
Dr. Mauro Giacca (International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, Trieste, Italy) will wind up the conference  by  speaking on “the ICGEB’s role in promoting and supporting Biotechnology R&D in developing The entire program.”
