February 5, 2015. The South Asian University (SAU) is a SAARC initiative to cater to the demand for quality higher education & research among others, in the South Asian region in all areas of human knowledge but tailor made to address region specific and relevant issues.
In order to facilitate greater interaction among Biotechnologists and Life scientists from these eight nations of SAARC, SAU has decided to form an Association of Biotechnologists from SAARC nations. To facilitate that, the first SAU Biotech conference has been planned from Feb 12-14, 2015 at its premises in Akbar Bhawan, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi.
About 25 delegates from India and 25 delegates from other SAARC nations are expected to attend and present their work in the conference. Everyone participating in this conference will become a founder member of the envisaged new Association. Three scientists have been invited to this conference. They are Drs.
