11th December, 2014. With a good deal of pleasure, GNOBB announces that one of its dynamic members, Professor Dr. Tofazzal Islam is the Team Leader of a project titled “Renewable energy from animal wastes: benefits from agriculture and society”. The project is funded by the International Strategic Partnerships in Research and Education (INSPIRE) Round – 4 of the British Council. In this project of multipartners comprising three Bangladeshi universities, namely, BSMRAU, Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Science University, Sylhet Agricultural University and the two British universities: University of Nottingham, Bishop Grosseteste University and James Hutton Institute the UK are involved. Under this project, 4 Professors from the UK visited Bangladesh in April 2014. Reciprocally, Professor Tofazzal Islam, Prof. Gishuddin Miah and Dr. Shafiullah) are due to visit the UK partner instates and discuss the progress of works and also plan the detailed program for the next year (2015).
