Dr. Aparna Islam, Associate Professor in Biotechnology Program at BRAC University recently received the “Best Teacher Award 2014”. Sir Fazle Hasan Abed KCMG, the founder of BRAC and Chairperson of BRAC University’s Board of Trustees distributed the award, while Professor Syed Saad Andaleeb, the Vice‐chancellor, BRAC University was present. BRAC University, one of the leading private universities of the country, initiated awards for faculties and staff for their extra-ordinary contributions in the field of teaching, research and administration. Dr. Islam received this prestigious award for her effective teaching at both undergraduate and post graduate levels. She started her journey as a faculty in 2007.  She is a member of the Core Facilitation Team (CFT) of BRAC University to help other teachers perform well in teaching. Distinguished guests from BRAC and BRAC University were present graced theoccasion.
