Fourth Annual South Asia Biosafety Conference to be held in Hyderabad, India 19-21 September, 16

September 11, 2016. The Fourth Annual South Asia Biosafety Conference is scheduled to be held at hotel Taj Krishna, Hyderabad, India on September 19-21, 2016.

The conference is being jointly organized by the South Asia Biosafety Program (SABP) led by the  Centre for Environmental Risk Assessment (CERA), ILSI Research Foundation, USA and Biotech Consortium India Limited (BCIL) with the support of the International Society for Biosafety Research (ISBR), the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Department of Biotechnology, the Government of India, the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Bangladesh Academy of Sciences, and the Department of Environment, Government of Bangladesh.

In its fourth year, the annual South Asia Biosafety Conference is  expecting an assembly of  a large number of scientists, regulators and other stakeholders who are interested in biotechnology, environmental risk assessment, and biosafety regulation in South Asia. 

The conference will address topics identified through a regionally-distributed questionnaire to ensure its relevancy to the South Asian situation, and will include presentations from leading regional and other international experts from regulatory agencies, scientific academies, universities and the private sector.  There will also be a poster session for this conference.

There will be twenty participants from different Universities, Institutes, and other govt. organizations and agencies from Bangladesh.
