Second Standard Chartered Bank sponsored AGROW Ceremony at the Westin Hotel

Dhaka 3rd Aug, 2015. Begum Matia Chowdhury, the Honorable Agriculture Minister, handed over the prestigious awards given by Standard Chartered Bangladesh (SCB) to the winners of the second AGROW Award ceremony* in a colorful function at the Westin Hotel, Gulshan. The winners were four celebrated individuals, Lal Teer Seed Ltd., the largest seed company in the private sector, and two groups of farmers that have made outstanding contributions to the agriculture sector.
Lal Teer Seed Ltd, the largest seed company in the private sector, won the award in the Best Associated Organisation in Innovation and Research category.
It may be mentioned that the Lalteer, the largest Seed Company in the country is engaged in developing, producing, processing and marketing high-yielding seeds of good quality. At present, it markets 131 varieties of 33 vegetable crops.
BRAC, the world’s largest nongovernmental organization, received the award in the Best Associated Organization in Support and Execution category.
